Alberta have established their presence in the Utilities sector. The company has worked for Gecol through Medelec Libya, for an EP contract for the protection of transformers for over 20 sites around Libya. This included surveying all the sites, design and engineering, supply of all materials, and commissioning of the systems. It also involved the monitoring of contractors appointed by the client to install these systems and ensuring the highest standards are kept at all times. Needless to say, these remote areas require a high level of knowledge and expertise. Due to the sites’ removed locations, a lot of co-ordination was required between the parties involved, as well as the highest level of co-operation with the client, the contractors and the suppliers. In these kinds of sectors one must ensure the highest quality, with systems requiring minimal maintenance in order to ensure an uninterrupted service.
